    I can't possibly cover every single way you can use Quick Note on your iPad, but I will go over some basics to get you started in Quick Note. Instead, you can open a Quick Note right from any app, add links to your notes with a single tap, keep your notes easily accessible at all times, and more. Now, you don't have to fumble with setting up Split View in order to take notes while working in another app. Think of it more like an addition and upgrade: Quick Note works with the Notes app to make your note-taking on iPad more versatile and powerful. Quick Note is not a replacement for the Notes app.

Now, with iPadOS 15, available to the general public in fall 2021, you can pull up a Quick Note anywhere, from any app. But up until now, to use the Notes app with another app, you've needed to enter Split View. Now you can swipe down from the top right of your display and tap the Quick Note button to create a new Quick Note - no Apple Pencil required.I love the Notes app for the ability to, well, take notes on my iPad wherever I am. Check that “Access within Apps” is enabled, then add Quick Note to your list of Control Center tiles. Start by going to Settings > Control Center. The trick is to turn on the Quick Note button in Control Center. Creating a Quick Note without the Apple Pencil requires setup, then it’s as accessible for anywhere on iPadOS 15 as the gesture-based compose method. Quick Notes can be created from the Home Screen without ever opening an app. This instantly creates a floating window that can move around the screen and be resized or pushed off-screen as needed. It’s activated by swiping in from the bottom right corner of the iPad with an Apple Pencil. Quick Note is perhaps more fascinating because of how it works than what it does. Apple markets Quick Note as an Apple Pencil trick, but all iPad users can take advantage of Quick Note after setting up the feature. IPadOS 15 introduces a new Quick Note feature that lets you instantly create and compose a note in a floating window from anywhere.
